Reconstitution Math Tool

A neutral mass/volume reference for laboratory researchers working with lyophilized reference compounds. Enter compound mass and solvent volume to compute concentration, or enter a working aliquot mass to compute the corresponding volume in a U-100 measurement device.

Research Use Only

This tool performs concentration arithmetic and nothing more. It does not provide, suggest, or imply dosing, administration routes, protocols, therapeutic guidance, or any use in humans. Compounds sold by Orion are not FDA-approved and are strictly for in-vitro laboratory research by qualified personnel.

Reconstitution Concentration

Concentration = compound mass ÷ solvent volume. Result is expressed in mg/mL.

Aliquot Volume Conversion

Given a target working-aliquot mass, compute the corresponding volume at the concentration above.

Aliquot Mass
Corresponding Volume
0.1000 mL
= 10.0 U-100 graduations

Math Reference

concentration (mg/mL) = mass (mg) ÷ volume (mL)
aliquot volume (mL) = aliquot mass (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL)
U-100 graduations = volume (mL) × 100
1 mg = 1000 mcg  ·  1 mL = 1000 μL
