Researcher Attestation

Last updated: April 2026

1. Why This Attestation Exists

Orion sells research compounds for in-vitro laboratory use only. Products are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority for human consumption of any kind, therapeutic use, or diagnostic use. To reinforce this restriction and to document each buyer’s informed acknowledgment, Orion requires a per-order attestation before any payment method can be selected at checkout.

2. The Five Required Acknowledgments

At checkout you must affirmatively acknowledge each of the following before a payment method can be selected. All five boxes must be checked on every order.

  1. I am a qualified researcher, or I am purchasing on behalf of a licensed research institution.
  2. I will use these compounds exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research.
  3. I understand these products are NOT approved by the FDA and are NOT for human use, therapeutic use, or diagnostic use.
  4. I assume all risk of storage, handling, and use, and I will follow appropriate laboratory safety protocols and all applicable federal, state, and local laws in my jurisdiction.
  5. I have read and agree to the Terms of Service, Disclaimer, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

3. Legal Effect

Completing a purchase after checking these boxes constitutes a binding representation and warranty by the buyer to Orion. Any subsequent misuse of products — including but not limited to use in humans, transfer to unauthorized parties, or use in unapproved contexts — is outside the scope of permitted use and constitutes a material breach of these terms. Orion disclaims all liability for misuse following purchase.

4. Institutional Buyers

Buyers purchasing on behalf of a research institution represent that they have authority to bind that institution to these terms and that the institution has its own applicable laboratory safety, biosecurity, and compliance policies governing the use of research compounds.

5. Updates

The attestation language may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the moment of purchase is the version that governs that order. Orion retains a record of each attestation-bearing order for compliance and recordkeeping purposes.
